Maria is a true creative. She is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to utilize the newest technology and connect with people in a meaningful way. Maria’s entrepreneurial spirit prompted her to launch and manage Civic Media Consulting, a social media marketing firm. In that capacity, she had the opportunity to directly impact businesses by crafting their social media, branding, and website needs. She also spearheaded the successful re-branding of Bold Commerce. Seeing the brand evolve and resonate with its audience in a new and exciting way, led to a significant boost in their visibility and engagement.

Throughout her career, Maria has had a wide range of amazing experiences. Her areas of expertise span web design, public relations, content production, and organic social media management and advertising. Regardless of which method she may be using, her innate ability to craft compelling content that resonates with her audience shines bright. With her incredible skillset, Maria is a massive part of our team. She connects with our community on a whole new level, bringing the right eyes to BTA and helping us to enrich the lives of our constantly growing community.

Maria and her partner Juan Antonio have found a lasting home in Vancouver, after a youth filled with travel. The daughter of Diplomats in Peru, she was able to live in incredible places like Canada, South Africa, Italy and Guatemala. Her love of travel remains, and Maria takes the time to get out into the world whenever possible. Often spending her time in art and history museums, or just enjoying the natural beauty of our coast with a run on the seawall. She also loves a good book, to the point that Maria even founded her own book club to share that passion with others. Even with a book in hand, it’s all about connection.
