Grant Lee
Business Coach
Increasing organizational optimization and finding opportunities to increase efficiency have been cornerstones of Grant’s impact in every role he has found himself in. From purchasing and transforming a failing franchise restaurant into one of the largest full-service establishments in the region, to running his own high-performing consulting company, to overseeing a half-billion-dollar portfolio with Suncor, his outcomes have been consistently outstanding. At Suncor, he was even nominated twice, and a finalist, for the President’s Operational Excellence Award. Grant is excited to be able to use his wealth of experience to support our BTA Community and help drive them to new levels of success.
Grant has always been focused on raising up those around him and helping in his community. The City of Fort McMurray awarded him the “Heroes of the Wildfire” Award in recognition of his strategic logistical service and leadership during the 2016 wildfire disaster response. He was able to influence companies of all sizes, such as Rogers Media, Royal Bank of Canada, and Transcontinental Media, after he established his own consulting firm. This experience working on those businesses ultimately brought him to BTA, where he can feed his need to directly impact growth-focused entrepreneurs every day.
Born in South Africa and immigrating to Canada in his youth, he has a wide range of experiences and designations, including BSc from UBC in Bio-Psychology, an MBA from U of W and his CPA. Grant also has a great passion for golf and hockey. So much so, that he actually received that MBA on a hockey scholarship! Supporting Grant are his wonderful wife Bobbi, his two sons, and their three dogs. He enjoys travelling with them so much that he currently spends most of his time in Mexico, where he has two dogs who are native Baja puppies. You can trust Grant to do everything to the utmost and he has come through it with incredible experiences and stories that he is gracious enough to share with the rest of us.
