Prior to working at Breakthrough Academy Daniel spent nearly two decades developing a high-level leadership career in the energy sector. He started at a young age, worked hard, and eventually made his way to the top of the ranks. After gaining significant management experience, he made a career change to work on his own as a consultant in the industry. Daniel was able to secure contracts with major oil and gas companies, and has been the lead advisor on hundreds of oil and gas wells drilled in Western Canada. His business was best known for its excellence in safety, quality, cost, and scheduling. Navigating the highs and lows of this labour-driven industry has taught him many valuable business lessons.

Daniel has been a coach at BTA since 2018, working primarily with general contracting, roofing, and commercial sub trade businesses. In 2021 Daniel was integral to the development of BTA’s pinnacle program the Masters Circle and is currently the figurehead to this program. Daniel has a huge heart when it comes to helping people achieve success in their goals, whether it be a labourer trying to make it through the day or a high-level executive trying to reach strategic initiatives. He is best known for his natural ability to connect with all types of people and hold them accountable to reach their potential.

Daniel resides on Vancouver Island with his wife Richelle, their three sons Diesel, Rockson and Timber. Daniel spends his free time at the hockey rink serving as a director and coaching his son’s hockey teams in NMHA.
